- I completed the University of Science and Technology in the year 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with extractive metallurgy as a minor course. I have also pursued an M.Sc. in Environmental Science and awaiting results. I have since gained a wide range of experience in environmental management as Environmental chemist, Environmental Coordinator and Senior Environmental Coordinator with multinational mining companies such as Centenary Gold Mining Limited, Normandy Ghana Gold and Newmont Ghana Gold Limited respectively Currently, I am the Environmental Superintendent of Golden Star Wassa Limited, a subsidiary of Chifeng Gold Group, a mining company in Ghana with headquarters in Beijing. Most of my experience lies in the use of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management Plans, Environmental Data Management, the use of environmental and GIS software like EQwin and MapInfo, Environmental Monitoring, Rehabilitation, Auditing, Compliance, Permitting and Air pollution control. I have also been working closely with regulatory agencies like IFC/World Bank and other local agencies and I am very conversant with their standards to ensure compliance with legal and other requirements to which the company subscribes.
